International Women’s Day

She wasn’t doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.”

JD Salinger

I would like to dedicate this post to my mother who is currently undergoing treatments for cancer. She is a lover and now a fighter, a warrior and the strongest woman that I know. Thank you, mom, for always being the light at the end of the tunnel and for always holding the universe together. I am so proud to be your daughter.

Here’s to all of the badass women in this world who continue to push us forward, make us better and make the universe more. I am forever grateful to know you, to love you and to aspire to be like you.

Who are the women and girls in your life that you admire? Who do you aspire to be more like?

  1. All the Women in my family are strong. I am truly grateful to know I can lean on their strength when mine is struggling to take the strain.

Two women I greatly admire, would LOVE to meet one day and would like to follow in their footsteps are Emma Watson for her amazing work on Women’s rights and equality for all peoples; and Emilia Clarke for her bravery to boldly be herself in all her quirkiness and totally own it! Her work for Charity is also great inspiration! Not that it defines either of them in their work or worth but it has to be said that they are both extremely beautiful (with completely different styles) and I love how they compose themselves.

My number one woman however, is of course my Mum, a stronger Shield Maiden the world has never known! Xxx

    1. I love Emma Watson and completely agree with you there. I’ve never heard of Emilia Clarke, though. I think I’m going to need to do some googling. Thank you for sharing with me ❤
