Anxiety, hello old friend.

I’m anxious and I’m having a hard time dealing with it tonight.

I have a feeling it’s going to be a long night filled with plenty of thoughts I don’t want to be dealing with right now.

I wish I knew how to make this feeling go away. I wish life were more settled.

I should stop.

  1. breathing in for 4 and breathing out for 6 helps me feel with overwhelming thoughts. It may not get rid of those thoughts completely, but it does give me space *HUGS*

    1. Thank you ❤️ I appreciate your kindness.

I’ll practice some breathing. Perhaps I should get myself back into yoga…

  2. When you say you should stop, you don’t mean with life, right? I know nights like that can be extremely long when you’re left alone with your own mind. But the night will end. The sun will rise (I guess it already has based on your previous post!), tomorrow will come – and it will be better than today. You have an amazing summer ahead that you need to plan for! And you have a wonderful little niece or nephew about to arrive in this world. They’re gonna need an awesome Auntie, and luckily they have one in you.

You’ve got this, V. We’re all here for you. You’re not alone. Keep up the good fight! You’re doing so well.

    1. Oh heavens, thank you for your concern. When I say I should stop I just mean the more I talk about it the more anxious I seem to feel, so I should stop so that I can distract myself from the anxiety and not make it worse.

Indeed, you’re right though, I do have plans and the sun will rise tomorrow. Just a hard night I guess. Thank you for your kind comment. ❤️

      1. I am so happy to read this. It’s always best to check in and let people know you’re here. Now you know I’m always here 🙂 it was an honest comment. Your posts have helped me, I was just returning some of that favour! I hope you’re feeling better today! You’re probably a bit wiped out, I know anxiety is so tiring!!

  3. Inhale Exhale. Do you have a coping mechanism? For me I will think of a safe place, where you can smell the environment, and touch the breeze. Hang in there buddy, and just ride on the wave. It will dissipate soon.

    1. Thank you ❤ Normally I have coping mechanisms that work for me but last night I was a little too high strung I just needed to let it out. Ya know what I mean?

      1. That is so sweet Vee🤗🤗
I love to share my experiences and life views Vee because I like to see everyone leading a happy and fulfilling life. But as far as ‘always right’ is concerned: no way 😊
The only thing I have always asked for in my prayers is : Give me wisdom 🙏
Lots of love and blessings and a big hug 🤗

  4. Maybe if you recorded the feelings you get when you have them this will help you discover what it is that makes you anxious then ask yourself what you would say to friend that is in the same position as you, this would mean you probably would feel differently about the anxiety or so hard on yourself. Try to accept that anxiety just happens it human and it makes us human having it.

My therapist advised me to work on realising that a panic attack or a bout of obsessive thoughts isn’t the end of the world. If it happens, it happens, and it’ll pass.

Don’t work yourself up about your own anxiety. Try to be in the moment and let any panic wash over you and pass, rather than worrying about what it means and what everyone else thinks.

I found meditation and meditation music has helped me loads I did a anxiety video just tones just the other day you should check it out. Awesome blog as well its brave putting your feelings out there.

  5. Hey! I had before random anxiety attacks, but they disappeared since I stopped using caffeine. So only decaf coffee and tea for me and my anxiety keeps checked. I don’t know if you have tried this, but it doesn’t harm to try for couple weeks. Also meditation helps! YouTube is full free guided meditations for anxiety.

    1. Thank you for the suggestion! I’m not sure if I could cut caffeine but I should try. I know it does more of a hindrance than help. Thank you ❤️
