- Trying to please everyone.
- Fearing change.
- Living in the past.
- Overthinking.
- Being afraid to be different from everyone else.
- Sacrificing your happiness for others.
- Thinking you’re not good enough.
- Thinking you have no purpose.
People always wait for New Year’s Day to make resolutions and honestly, why? Make these resolutions today. Make change today. Better yourself today. You deserve it. You’re worth it. Don’t wait for some arbitrary day to try and change you thinking – start to try and change the way you think today.
It’s not going to be easy. And it’s not going to happen at the snap of your fingers. But if you make the effort to enrich your life with serious changes that will ultimately benefit you long-term, the change will be worth it.
Do it. Do it today.
Exactly!
Start today, you’ll feel empowered that you made a start
and celebrate the journey thusfar when it’s New Year’s Eve!
Win-win

Right? I bet if you actually started today, you’d probably be able to see pay-offs by new years. Progress, not perfection!

Great advice, I touched on this on my old blog once that every single day is a chance for a resolution. Forget “New Year, New Me”, you can do that every day!

Exactly. Why not new you now? Why wait for a new year, what’s wrong with this year?

π That clearly reminds me of the old saying, “Do not put off for tomorrow what you can do today!”
Thank you for the positive message!

Agree I stopped doing new resolutions 2 decades ago. I believe in the saying “now or never” . Effectively start today who know what tomorrow brings.

Now or never, and I think most people choose never just because they fall into that procrastination bubble and think they always have time.. Which inevitably stagnates them in the long run.

I agree! I waited too long …but finally I have found my happy place in traveling to Florence, Italy and learning the Italian language!:)

Wow, that’s amazing! Not sure how I didn’t see this until now but I hope that it’s amazing and you insert yourself into every aspect of the Italian culture to help learning the language!

I am guilty on many points.
Making resolutions this far from New Year’s Eve, I probably wouldn’t last about a month in.
My will power at most is sitting at ‘idle’. hehehehe

Still working my way through stuff I’ve missed while in NZ, and I came across this little gem. Bloody hell V, you are so wise. All these resolutions are spot on, and I’ll try, truly I will β¦ π

I love ya’ll. My brief time in London was some of the happiest days of my life because I got to listen to everyone’s crazy cool accents EVERYWHERE. I’m going to move there when I retire.
