Hold on. Just because things aren’t the way you want them right now doesn’t mean that something wonderful is right around the corner. Believe in yourself. Great things are going to happen.
I feel like these are very wise words. And while I know you’re right, every piece of me is trying to fight them tonight. I’m just in a bad headspace, I guess.
I know that feeling all too well… In the moment of now when you feel as if the world is falling apart. It’s tough. Really tough. The only thing that I can say that has worked for me in trying times is to find a positive in the day. No matter how small it is and focus on it. Try to shift that mindset away from the negative. It’s not an easy thing to do by any means. Hang in there. Sending positivity your way.
Yes. They can do that. Are they helping you sleep? Sleeping pills should be temporary as taking them long term is not good. Is trouble sleeping a new thing or chronic?
I started struggling to sleep right around the time my mom was given a status of her cancer being in remission. Prior to her being in remission, I was looking after her, I had a ‘purpose’ so to speak. Once I returned to job hunting full time, realizing how annoying, dififcult and stupid it was caused my mood to go way, way down. My therapist things my struggling to find full time employment is a contributing factor.
You know, I’ve been thinking about this so often lately. I’m getting older, but I’m not at all where I ever imagined I would be in life. But, I’ve learned that, we are exactly where we are suppose to be, everything in life has a purpose, the tough feelings even moreso. Eventhing will make sense one day, stay strong.
I think it’s normal to feel this way. We go through these highs and lows. Some days we feel OK, other days we feel like we can conquer the world and some days we feel low. When there’s a low, just know that it can only get better. The only way is UP in a +ve direction.
I’m sorry you’re struggling right now my friend. All I can say is that it does eventually end and the sun will shine once more. Lean on those who are close to you and who can speak truth to you to drown out the lies your head is telling you. Hugs 💜
Hang in there my friend.

It’s our thoughts that make us want to be there – but there is good to be found right here too.

I guess it’s just one of those nights. I can’t get my thoughts back on track. They’re veering off course and I’m losing track of my path…

I recently was prescribed sleeping pills because I haven’t been sleeping much. The sleeping pills make me feel like I wake up with a hangover…

Glad your mom is remission. Is there an option to finding part-time employment or something that you like to do and then it leading up to full time?

Try a little mindfulness, focus on your breathing (out then in, out……) for 2-3 minutes and let the intrusive thoughts come – and go.
Perhaps visualisation? Think back to a positive, fun memory and try to recreate it. Big hugs V xx

My head is full of lies these days. Thanks for your words of wisdom. I know it’s smart, I just need to buck up and do it.
