Questions for you!

I’ve been interested to find out more about the people that read this blog. If you’re reading, and can answer, please do. I’d love some more insights (the analytics nerd in me just really loves this stuff)

  1. How old are you?
  2. What generation are you a part of?

For reference (for the second question):

  • The Silent Generation: Born 1928-1945 (73-90 years old)
  • Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964 (54-72 years old)
  • Generation X: Born 1965-1980 (38-53 years old)
  • Millennials: Born 1981-1996 (22-37 years old)
  • Generation Z (Post-Millennials): Born 1997-Present (0-21 years old)

    1. So far, in just under 24 hours, I’ve had 84 responses:

      Boomers: 11
      Gen X: 38
      Millennial: 28
      Gen Z: 7

So far the age range of responses for people who read this blog spans from 15 to 72 years old. Hoping if I keep talking about this I’ll get some more responses and have a broader range of data.

      1. I am. Honestly, I knew there were people older than I who read the blog, but I presumed the majority of the audience was around my age. I still think they might be. 84 responses isn’t a huge cross section of just about 5,000 followers.

  1. I’m 39, so technically I’m a Gen X. But I was glad when I read a couple years ago that there’s like a mini-generation between Generation X and Millennial, because I find that I have some traits from both generations, but not enough to be considered one of those for sure.

    1. My boyfriend bet me that the majority of people who read this blog aren’t Millennials. So I wanted to prove a point to him first and foremost… but it looks like I might lose? Beyond that, I am just nosey…

      1. Haha…interesting. On my blog about history, art, books and 80’s and 90’s music I tend to get a lot of Gen x’ers and boomer dads and granddads it’s weird. I like it though haha

      2. It’s interesting to see because I presumed the majority of bloggers were those in their 20’s not those in their 40’s, but yours and mine both show there’s a lot of Gen Xers blogging.

  2. Ugh post my age ?? Can I say slightly younger than middle aged? But almost there … pains me to actually admit to the age… I would like to not age anymore

    I am a generation X … that info I don’t mind lol
