While I appreciate each and every single person who takes the time to send me Instagram DMs, Twitter DMs, Emails, comments on my blog and photos, etc… I would like to state outright, as boldly as I possibly can
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN SIGNING UP FOR, OR PURCHASING FROM YOUR MLM. NOT NOW. NOT EVER.
I don’t need or want oils, cannabis products, leggings, a fitness program, skincare, clothing, spices, cookware, makeup or anything else that falls within the realm of an MLM company, tiered rewards program or organization that proclaims I can be my own boss lady, boss babe, boss bitch and so on and so forth.
I understand the hustle. I do. And I know that you’re technically just doing your job because you need to sign people up in order to make money. But I cannot stress this enough, I am not interested. You’re wasting your time reaching out to me. No sales pitch, fancy charts, media kits, catalogs, free gifts or anything else is going to coax me into signing up/purchasing.
It’s absolutely nothing against you, I promise. I choose to not support any MLM companies and that decision will not change.
Sorry, not sorry.
I couldn’t have said it better myself! Sometimes it’s really tough to be polite about it though. 😊

It is. I feel bad when I get rude about it but some people just don’t let it go.

I hear you on the ads and sales pitches. So annoying. If I want something, then I’ll get it when I’m ready. Otherwise, back off, ya know?

Exactly. And if you need it, it’s way easier to go to Target than it is to order it through a dang MLM. lol

Lol couldnt agree more! We just know what we want and dont need to be pestered. I get irate very quickly with sales pitches being thrown at me.

I am shocked yet another time. I can’t believe that people who follow you on any media, knowing about your situation, can ask you any of the above. People continue to surprise me.

I get probably ten requests a week to join YoungLiving and BeachBody, etc… I’ve had two today for Rodan + Fields.
I think people just copy/paste send it to everyone on their list, if I’m being totally honest. And these requests annoy the heck out of me.

They absolutely do, it won’t be personal. Just more of the spam of life— physical junkmail, email junkmail, chuggers in the streets, recruiter emails. The more public you are only the more spam you’ll get 😆. There’ll always be people desperate enough to try anything to make money.
I just googled MLM companies— they’re the ones that all kinds of bloggers etc. become ‘affiliates’ with, right? It’s fucked up and so superficial!!

It’s a big trend for bloggers, social media influencers and YouTubers to sell because… it’s marketed as easy money. In reality, unless you have a million + subscribers, it’s far from easy…

You honestly need to tell them to f— off. They’re leeches, and you don’t have time for that horrible behavior.

While I would love to, a part of me also feels bad. They’re probably in well over their heads and struggling. And that breaks my heart a bit. The leeching is probably out of desperation because the MLM is bleeding them dry.

You have a point. I just have had bad experiences to feel rather bitter towards them. Being brainwashed into believing they’ll make money is horrible, but it’ll take lots of reverse conditioning to have them snap out of it.

I think you have just told them. I agree 100%. The MLMs are annoying. You said it well!

They are annoying. I don’t agree with any form of predatory selling. It’s not right to take advantage of people.

I was just about to pitch my incredible MLM opportunity to you, without giving any information to you about the company until I can lure you in first. Hey, I would have made you a member of my FB group, and you could have joined me on that 60 day challenge thing, or that 21 Day Fix thing, or shredded-10-second abs! Here is some questionable pink powder that’s chalk full of chemicals but it’s totally safe – trust me. I’ll only charge ya $200 per month for my product, but you don’t have to know that until you get the bill! That’s clearly the side hustle I’ve been doing because my life is all sunshine and rainbows and shit. #badass-biz 🌞🦄🌈

I know I sent you a text about this earlier but I just wanted to say thanks for the laugh this afternoon. Where can a girl sign up? I want to be part of the badass-biz. And I trust you. More than I trust myself!

Hey V! My phone died so I didn’t get a chance to read your text updates yet. Thanks for letting me know that I made you laugh today – I love that you get my sarcasm! 😂 Not sure if I told you this, but I got suckered into an MLM biz at one point. The upline ppl used the term biz as if it was some hip word or something. They didn’t tell me how much the supplements actually cost per month. Each bottle was $96 CAD per bottle per month + the initial sign-up package fees. Yikes. As much as I believe in the health and wellness industry, I do not agree with the shady policies aka pyramid schemes or whatever you wanna call it. I actually own one MLM product because my mom went to one of those sales parties and got pressured into buying a super expensive essential oil roll-on. However, I really do love it. I just don’t love the price. MLM products are expensive for a reason. 😐

Amen sister. I hate the constant sales pitches in comments and bots following my blog. It’s very annoying.

And that’s what their business is built off. Annoying people into giving them money. It’s such a shitty business plan.

Girrrrrl!! Ikr? I feel the exact same way and I have a really hard time remaining “friends” with such folks. I just want us to be friends without the hard sell always. There needs to be a social media platform created specifically for those who have these side hustle MLM products.
I recently deactivated my FB in part due to this exact dilemma.
I stick to here and Instagram 😉

Yeah, but if everyone who was selling MLM products was on the same platform, they wouldn’t be able to make any sales because they’d all already be involved. Thats why they need facebook… they need a place to suck people in. lol. It’s such a shitty business model, but it’s how they steal millions from people every year.

Ugh…..that’s unfortunately too true. We are living in a consumerist society and I for one am not down with that. I think you too are not down with it either V 😉

I’m amazed by people who have totally bought a pyramid scheme, and think it’s going to save the world, until I remember the people who think the earth is flat and aren’t even getting paid for it.

One day I’m just going to change my name to Veronica Smith. Simple. Easy. There’s a hundred or more of them on earth, easily. That’ll be the life.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yeah, I dunno… Both my first and last names are super generic and there’re hundreds if not thousands of me. It’s really hard to register for things, or get any sort of verification if you need to for federal work or something. Maybe try for a little more originality. Like… Veronyca Smith

Ewwwwwwwwwww. I hate when people spell regular names in a stupid way. My sister runs a daycare that has a little girl there named Jennifer that’s spelled ‘Jynaphurr’.

Wow. I’ve a part time job working with kids, so I see a lot of them, but that might be the worst ever. I mean… yeah, it is

I was bombarded with MLM on Twitter. They almost made it impossible to read the tweets I followed.
They are almost close to be a “Ponzi scheme”.

It is a ponzi scheme. It’s a ponzi scheme they haven’t been able to charge in courts yet. Sadly. You hit the nail on the head there.

The worst ones hide it in instagram posts saying “amazing photo! take a look at this amazing account” and literally advertises themselves on my page.

I get a lot of those comments on this blog too. “AMAZING POST BABE! Please check out my blog!” (A blog filled with MLM product advertisements)
Thanks, Babe! No.
lol
Those comments are so annoying.

Could not have said/yelled this better myself! It’s so annoying even though they’re probably just pasting a mass message to everyone it’s so tiresome. Great post 🖤

The mass copy/pasting it makes it so much more annoying too. Like… don’t call me babe. You don’t know me. lol I’m sure you know what I mean.

Love it, I love how you just speak your mind. People either love it or hate it, there is nothing in between. I closed my FB account because of this constant bombarding with best offers ever: fake eyelashes, fake nails, fake beauty on sale only for you, only today! But what if you are interested in being fake, cute or edgy?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Well, why not? lol. These are once in a lifetime legendary products and YOU NEED them in your life. lol
I haven’t had a Facebook account for probably ten years, but dang… I hear a lot of people saying they opted out of Facebook because of the bombardment of these companies. It’s a common theme, and it’s sad.
