Last June when I got that job offer that fell through, I ended up switching from an iPhone to a Samsung. I was going to need a new phone for the job, and when I went to replace my phone, I decided to take a leap and make the switch.
I still have the iPhone, mainly because I never took the photos off of it. Well, now that I have all this time on my hands… why not?
I am no photographer, just a girl who likes to remember moments. I tend to save my favourite photos for Instagram, so if you want to see my favourites, follow me on Instagram (shameless self promotion).
*These are in no particular order. Just some random photos that documented my days. There’s also no identifiable people in these photos, for the sake of the privacy of my family and friends. Any people you might see are strangers. Hopefully I don’t upload any photos of identifiable people though. I hate it when I wind up in the back of other’s photos so I never want to do that to someone else.

It’s a very… ‘instafamous’ stop on the Copenhagen crawl. We didn’t really get there until the sun was already setting so it made for a very dark photo. Alright, that’s enough of a photo spam for now. Next time: Germany, England, New York, Alaska and… probably a lot more of BC and Alberta. Let’s face it, the majority of my days are spent in BC and Alberta. This place is heaven on earth. What’s not to like? Well, there’s a lot not to like right now… but that’s a story for another day.

Wow I’m gunna come back to this tomorrow cos I’m so tired, but I’ve been to a freaky amount of those places! The California one— I have photos extremely similar. Laguna Beach? San Luis Obispo? It looks more like somewhere in Southern California.
It is Southern Cali. The photo is somewhere close to LA. We were only in LA for like… 48 hours, so it’s one if those beach towns nearby because we didn’t drive very long.
Cool, it looks so much like Laguna beach which is 1 hour drive away from LAX airport. I even think I have the same 3 palm trees in a photo! Laguna Beach really is where the nice beaches start South of LA, on the edge of the whole urban area. Such a nice area! I have such good memories of Southern California, haha.
It’s cool to see that ski jump like that. Looks so sad and ridiculous!
Waterfront Station used to be my local train station, just at the bottom of my street! Serious nostalgic feelings with that photo from summertime in Vancouver, the very bright colours and sharp shadows. Vancouver is unique.
I’ve also been to those places in Las Vegas, Toronto and Niagara Falls. I would have got to go to Whistler but for my bad knee 😆.
I actually went straight from LAX to Laguna Beach (or a beach just before it, maybe Crystal Cove), when I arrived and a friend picked me up. I went to Laguna Beach quite a few times after, by myself.
Random request— could you put a search bar on your blog at all? I was trying to find a specific post to share with somebody :D.
The post was the one about using tags I read once, where you talked about using the ‘millenial’ tag and the differing numbers of views you got with different tags.
Oh my word V, your photos are gorgeous, I love the ski zip from 1988, I actually remember seeing when watching the Olympics that year. You get around a bit, Denmark, California….. lol. My favourite is the food photo – it’s a ridiculous price to pay, even tho I love the show and Gordon Ramsey. I’m not mean and I love great food, but that’s definitely OTT.
THANK YOU V!!! These pictures really brightened this dreary day I’m having. My favorites are the rainbows, the beach and the one of the woodland driveway, very magical. Great post my friend❤😊👏
I really enjoyed seeing the photos in your blog post, Vee. I also have an iPhone, but whenever I try to take photos they turn out like garbage. What is your secret? Your photos are lovely! ❤❤❤
I use LightRoom. As you can tell from the variety of different lighting in all of these photos, I definitely have gotten better at editing over the years.
Yeah. It’s for lightening and brightening photos. You can adjust exposure, get rid of glare.. and as you can see from some of the photos, like every photo I took in Denmark – you can give everything a coloured tint – in my case, all of the Denmark photos are tinted blue. lol
The amount they charged you for that plate at Hell’s Kitchen was ridiculous. I think you were paying for the name basically. That said, these pictures are wonderful! I never saw so many rainbows together like that. You really visit some gorgeous places. Thanks for sharing things you love.
HAHA Hell’s Kitchen comes at a premium! I will say that it was damn good. But… I was in Vegas. When in Vegas? Sure. When anywhere else, not a dang chance.
Thanks! What’s funny was that it rained 95% of the time we were there. When we got up to leave for the airport, we walked across the road to meet our friends for a ride. And that was when it got sunny…. when we were getting ready to leave. lol
Thank you! And I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes it’s just nice to reminisce about the good moments – the moments worthy of remembering and taking photos of!
Ahhh yeah. I took it out because I couldn’t find my full size version and the smaller image was throwing my OCD outta whack. More reasons to always save your originals!

Thank you! They’re okay. It’s worth noting these are cherry picked for this post. Most of my photos suck. Lol

I know lots of professional photographers, since I used to work with them. They cherry-pick, too.

I had that phone from 2015 to the middle of 2019, so it had about four years worth of work and leisure travel on it.

Also Hell’s Kitchen comes at a premium… I guess that’s why Gordon Ramsay is so dang rich.

Meh, I’m kidding. You’re but a year younger than myseff. I’m just jealous that you’re a dragon, I suppose. Fun fact: Ramsay’s a horse.
