Jake just won’t quit.

I’m forty-three minutes into the day and I’m ready give up on the day.

This petulant asshole is trying to get fired. I swear.

If this is how he operates his business, I am unsure as to why anyone would do business with him. Maybe that’s it, though. Maybe no one does business with him and this entire facade is… a scam… like I predicted from day one.

Stories to come.

Additional question that I haven’t previously asked but am wondering more with each passing day: If this man runs a successful marketing company that has raised more than a billion dollars in capital and worked with companies like Nike and Samsung, why is he handling my company’s account? Why am I dealing with the head of the company? One would think (well, I would think) that if he’s so great he’s worked with two of the most recognizable brands on earth and raised more than a billion dollars in capital, that he’d have people who work under him who handle smaller accounts. But no, the head of the company handles all accounts? Every last one of them? Either he’s passing off accounts to people without acknowledging that, or, he doesn’t have as many accounts as he’s trying to portray that he has.

  1. Same.
I’m also convinced dude is just a pig and your company should break contract with him due to his outright sexist behavior. Especially if it’s documented and continues, maybe even sue. His behavior is unacceptable.

    1. I think my boss is under the impression he’s going to crack under the pressure he thinks we’re putting on him (that isn’t pressure at all. If he does quit on us, though… the contract says he gives us back all of our money. Which is the easiest scenario for my boss, not having to get lawyers involved.

      1. Ah. Then maybe get with your boss? See juuust how much of a load you can put on this dillhole Jake and watch him crack. Oh, and follow up with him at every turn. Dudes who already don’t respect female leaders absolutely hate it when we remind them that yes, we asked you to do a thing and have noticed it’s not delivered yet. Hahaha Either he’ll deliver or your company will get a refund. Win-win πŸ‘πŸ½

  2. I think your instincts are correctβ€” the sort of people who are capable of running scams will always make it obvious that they’re not trustworthy, through behaviours like this. I’ve learned to let my instinct guide me on thisβ€” it’s simply never worth giving a minute of your time to people who set your alarm bells off in the way that this guy has. I find dishonesty is so easy to spot and it makes me feel so uncomfortable!!

There’s really no excuse for your boss not immediately ending this guy’s contract, considering that he’s been blatantly sexist (in writing, too!) from the very first day!

    1. Honestly, I think my boss is hoping he quits on us. My boss signed a contract that says if we quit the project we only get 50% reimbursement, so he’d have to get lawyers involved to get the rest of the 50%. Which isn’t awful. But I think he, actually we all, think that one or two more days like yesterday and he’ll come apart at the seams. lol

    1. I feel like it’s been too long since I’ve seen that movie because I do not remember Tim Allen slowing down time…? Loved that movie when I was a kid, though.
